  • Question: What is VAT? 
    Answer:  Value Added Tax or VAT is such an indirect tax that is paid by the customer through a registered person. Value Added Tax, or VAT, is calculated on a specific good or service based on adding the actual level of value and subtracting any input taxes owed from the delivered good or service.
     
  • Question: Who is the payer of VAT? 
    Answer:  The final consumer of goods or services in the value-added tax process is the VAT payer. At every stage of the sale, the supplier or seller collects VAT from the customer and deposits it in the government treasury. Since they are the last to make a purchase, consumers are ultimately responsible for paying VAT. Only at the point of sale, the supplier or seller deposits VAT realized to the government's treasury.
     
  • Question: Why shall I pay VAT? 
    Answer:  I will pay VAT for the reasons listed below because I'm a good citizen:
    A citizen has a moral responsibility to pay taxes in order to obey state law.
    Without the funds obtained from taxes, the State cannot develop.
     
  • Question: What is Business Identification Number (BIN)?
    Answer:  Business Identification Number is a specific number of 13 digits given by NBR by which a business tax payer can be identified. A business tax payer's state of business affairs can be identified through this number from the website of the NBR.
     
  • Question: What are the advantages of having a BIN?
    Answer:  The advantages of having a BIN:
    • All import-export operations, excluding imports of luggage.
    • Obtaining Import Registration Certificate or Export Registration Certificate.
    • Supplying to any Withholding Entity.
    • Participating in any tender.
    • Enlisting with any organization.
    • Obtaining Bond License.
    • Sanction of Bank loan in favor of a registered or enlisted person.
